West Tokyo is back on the map!!! The SOSF band CREEPOUT from Japan
is back with ‘Ovskvre Tortvered Order’ about a year after their
first full length ‘A Tribe Called Hardcore’.
If the first record paid tribute to the Clevo hatecore legends in
One Life Crew, then this record is more along the lines of the other
Cleveland extreme, namely Integrity.
When it comes to the music there is no hiding the influence as the
sound is very like that of the creators of this concept. But the
sound is clearly darker than that of the first record, but text-wise
CREEPOUT stick to their own style with songs like ‘Trve Holy Terror
Grimness’ following the title track with lyrics like ‘Stupid
motherfucker, go fuck yourself’. If you expected lyrics along the
lines of Integrity you will feel a bit disappointed, but when it
comes to the music this album is up there with the records of the
Cleveland idols. If you think that this mix isn’t a good one, you
are mistaken. CREEPOUT knows how to mix heavy, dragging riffs and
midtempo parts with aggressive gang lyrics in the style of OLC.
The concept of focusing on one band’s style, however, makes the
whole record predictable and less varied throughout. But if you are
into infuriating, dark hardcore similar to the 90′s style hardcore,
then there is no way around CREEPOUT.

Well, the mix between Death Metal and Metalcore is becoming a
tendency into extreme Metal scene. Maybe a trend that will pass soon
or later, but in the flood we saw now, only the strong can overcome
the trials to expose their works to as many people as they can. And
nowadays, even with the aid of internet and media, its still hard
path to be in. But I believe that the French quintet WHEN REASONS
COLLAPSE can overcome all the barriers and show the world what they
are up to. And their first album Dark Passengers, is a proof of what
you Big Daddy here is saying.

They have a very good work in hands, and they know how to put the
elements of this mix along with no problems. And they have a very
good musical insight, with excellent instrumental basis (good
guitars, very good bass and drums, with weight and technique in
their due proportions), and the vocals are a great surprise: behind
the growls and aggressive grunts, is a female vocalist, Cristina.
And she sings better than many male vocalists in the genre. But she
is just a part of a very good work.

In terms of sound quality, its that modern Metalcore way of
quality, abrasive and heavy, but as clear as water, for we all can
understand each little detail on their work. And there are many to
hear here!
Their ten songs are really fine. Of course, this is their first
album, and they have a good way to go and to become more suitable to
face the giants of Metalcore, but they are in a very good level in
this first album.

Songs like No Time for Regrets, When Reasons Collapse, Come to Me
and Bitterness and Grief are proofs to mine words. They can really
astonish you, and become great in a near future.

Dying Is Your Latest Fashion is the debut full-length album by
American rock band Escape the Fate, released on October 3, 2006
on Epitaph Records. The origin of the album’s title comes from a
line in the chorus of the song “Situations”. It contains nine new
songs plus two songs taken from There’s No Sympathy for the Dead.
“Not Good Enough for Truth In Clich” and “Situations” were
released as singles, with music videos being made for both. It is
the only full-length album and second release with original
singer and founding member Ronnie Radke. Ronnie would later be
incarcerated and kicked out of the band. He is currently the
frontman for Falling in Reverse. It is also the last release to
feature rhythm guitarist Omar Espinosa and keyboardist Carson
Allen (although he was no longer in at the time). Mandy Murders,
who had in the past dated Ronnie Radke, modeled for the cover
art.
